Ok, so I’m a little behind with keeping up with these posts. Is anyone even reading them?

Anyway, I’ll give you a few days worth of Russell’s desktop mentoring to catch us up a bit.

Day 7 – Call (800) 272-6871 xt. 123 for your free coaching call.

Day 8 – Getting your site online
- Domain name is $8-10/year
- Get one that’s easy to remember
- Get a .com (no .net etc.)
- No hyphens

Day 9 – Setting up your website
There are 3 types of websites:
- Squeezepage
- Salesletter
- Blog

Homework – Go get a minisite designed

There you have it. Pretty basic stuff I guess but at least he’s taking us step by step. I do still feel that he has omitted a couple very serious steps. Namely they are selecting a niche and researching the niche for market interest.

I know he had the Ask campaign deal, but if you picked a dud the first time, really you would be stuck at that phase re-doing your Ask campaign over and over until you found a niche with some serious interest.

Ok, since DotCom Secrets affiliate manager Brent Coppietiers sent me the Wealth building portfolio to review, I didn’t get any log-in information as I would have if I’d ordered it and paid the shipping.

Anyway, quick ticket to customerhelpdesk.org and I now have access.

The first thing you see when you log in is a welcome video from Russell that explains the program and the 90 Day challenge. At the end of the 90 challenge, Russell will be giving someone a free 2 year lease on a brand new Corvette. Last time it was a Hummer and it was won by big time marketing dude, Mike Filsaime. So the first page has the welcome video as step #1, Downloading a small app called “Desktop Mentor” as step #2, Joining the 90 day challenge as step #3, and Studying the content listed as step #4.

When you click on the 90 Day Challenge part, you get a pdf to download as well as a video explaining the 90-day Challenege…

I figured I’d take a quick look in the Marketing/Business development folder. It contains no less than 41 pdf files on a broad range of topics from customer support to SEO to direct mail marketing.

I also installed the Desktop Mentor application. Next is to go back, watch the quickstart video from apprentice level 1 section and fire up the first desktop mentor session.

Looks like I’m going to get right into this thing for 27 days or so and see what it is made of. Better subscribe to this so youcan be kept updated. Updates will now follow daily.

I’ll report back after I’ve watched the quickstart video and 1st mentor session. So I’ve received Russell Brunson’s Dot Com Secrets wealth building Portfolio. First impression is that isvery nicely put together in a very large binder in which you receive a copy of his 2 hour dvd, a couple of salesletters that refer you to a 1-800 number, A quick start guide, A 30 day challenge booklet, A bonus offers page with a number for a 30 minute free coaching call, 2 CD’s (one called “How the Local Business Owner can profit from going on line and one called Underground lead generation secrets).

Next you get a DVD called Millionaire Time Management secrets which is the January DVD of the month. You also get a bunch of balnk pages with CD’s holder tabs to stick your DVD of the month on. Do I smell a membership cooking?

You also get an issue of the monthly magazine Dot Com Secrets. My copy is also of January….I guess I’m a bit behind.

Now then, that describes the contents of the binder as received from affilliate manager Brent Coppietiers.

Recall that I said there was an 800 number to call on the first sales letter? Let’s call it now and see what they have to say……it’s ringing……

Ok, so you’re greated by Garrett Robins, director of the coaching program at DotComSecrets.com. Garrett tells you that if you leave your name and number and best time to call, they will call you back and send you Russells 6 point action checklist as well as a CD with 6 hours of MP3’s explaining each of the 6 points.

So the package has arrived as of Wednesday. I’ve cracked it open, shot a few photos of what you get and have read the first few intro pages.

The first internet marketer that I heard of was Russell Brunson. He’s got a new package coming out called the “Dot Com Secrets Apprenticeship Program” where he claims…

What you’ll get is a binder chock full of my best wealth building secrets. This is stuff that will put you ahead of the pack and keep you there!”

He says he’ll be giving away a 2 year lease on a new Corvette to the winner of his apprenticship program. Mike Filsaime won his Hummer last time so unless you’re a better affiliate marketer than Mike Filsaime, you’d better kick ass and take names….lots and lots of names.

The price is crazy low so this one has me confused as to weather it’s underhyped or just not worth more than the asking price.
