Maybe you have set you heart on a goal and you want it really badly but try as you might, you just cannot seem to achieve that goal or even get closer to it.

Nick lacks something most of us don’t. Did you catch it in the video?

I’m not talking about limbs. I’m talking about that little thing in your mind, the voice or the mindset that says “I can’t” or “It’s too hard” or “It won’t work for me”. Most of us posses that flaw to some degree but Nick simply does not.

I personally am not a good swimmer…yet I’ve got 4 more limbs than Nick does. What is that stops me from being able to swim? My flawed thinking or the little voice inside that says “but I can’t swim, I could drown”.

Most marketing gurus have wacky giveaways to their top affiliates and in the past, Russell gave away a Hummer! Of course, it was won by Mike Filsaime so it would take a small sized miracle for a newb to beat out old Mikey.

Her name is Amy Bass and she’s inspirational to say the least. I have no idea if it’s credit card debt or whatever, but that’s not important. The point is, if she can do it, chances are….you can too.

One figured that going to work 40 (or more) hours per week, taking vacation when you’re lucky enough to get it and retiring if you live long enough and save enough is the path for her. Fine by me…if that’s what you want.

The other thought that there was more out there for him than just reporting to the j.o.b. and was very interested to hear more about any opportunity that might come his way. Now I will NEVER knock someones views because I figure that as long as you are HONESTLY happy with the things you are doing and the results you’re getting…the you’re on the right track.

My point, however, was that I took something different from these conversations. See when I listen to someone speak, I listen to not only the words that they say to me but the inflections in their voice, the change in tone and emotion and with how much conviction they deliver their words.

In plain english, when someone says “oh, I don’t care about money…I’m happy the way things are” it doesn’t always mean that they don’t care or are truly happy.

My issue lies with the first person. She’s very close to me and I love her very much. When she talks about her life and goals for her family, I hang on her every word. I also believe that there is a lot more out there for her but she is unwilling to PERCEIVE what her life could be. She doesn’t BELIEVE that there is anything more out there for her.

She has grown up to believe that the standard issued life plan of get an education, get a job, work for someone else until 65, retire, die is the only path and she’s blocked everything else out of her mind.

I hope the reader will take from this that if that also describes you, that you’ll please open your mind to the fact that there are MANY other methods and opportunities out there that can lead you to a happy fulfilling life….perception is the first step. Can you perceive a path other than what you’ve been told you must follow??

My wife will be the first to attest that I’m a “challenge everything” kind of guy. It irks me to no end when people just take what they are told and run off like little robots, do what they’re told and never think for themselves. I realize Mary Kay would NEVER have you do that and I’m sure they are all for you thinking, creating and being an individual

The cool thing was that this big shot author/marketer signed up to Arbonne to check out their marketing system as that’s what he does. He learns, innovates, re-applies and profits. So he joins Arbonne and quickly decides that he doesn’t want to hassle his friends and family but rather will sell all of his product online.

Being that Joel is one of this highest earning internet marketers ever, he know he can build a website and drive traffic to it in droves and will bury most consultants in sales.

Arbonne takes great offence to Joel’s approach so Joel and an Arbonne corporate rep get into it on the phone. You can read a bit of that exchange at the link below. Now I know that these companies have tried, tested and proven systems in place and that straying from the laid out plan can produce less than desirable results. I also know that there are some pretty damn smart people out there that have a history of taking things, adding their touch and making them even better.

Could Joel have sold massive amounts of Arbonne products and made a fortune? Probably, but I guess we’ll never know. Thumbs up to him for having the guts to try it anyway.

I have no doubt she will rub a few people the wrong way, but as I always say….as long as you’re getting rubbed….Ok, that’s enough.

Seriously, it’s worth a read for sure. If you’ve been into or interested in internet marketing for more that say, 2 hours, you will have witnessed some of the sleazy tactics that she exposes.

I love her rant on what she calls “Upsell Hell”. I have been a victim and it pissed me off so bad that I never EVER would have bought from the punk if his products were free at that point.

People are ranting and raving about the book and saying she is employing some of the same tactics that she describes. Get a grip man. She collected your email address and then sent you your free book. She’ll likely send you an offer or two down the road. Hello…..umm…she’s an internet marketers fool! No leads = no groceries. Push the unsubscribe link if you’re so upset. Sheesh.
