Beat The Recession – You Know More Than You Think You Do

As the economy slips further into the mud, more and more jobs are lost and that can leave people feeling lost, confused, trapped and even worthless. Been there….hated it.

As I’ve been applying for jobs myself, I’ve been calling contacts only to find that they are laying people off as well. I got REALLY down in the dumps, felt dejected and wanted to crawl under a rock and die! My inner fight is WAY too strong to give in like that and I’ve been fighting to come up with ways to make money to keep groceries on the table before the bank account dwindles to nothing.

Tonight I made a list of skills that I have. Many have nothing to do with my former job but are pretty damn cool skills and knowledge to have. I’ll be posting details of the services available in the next day or so.

In addition to my beautiful, inspiring wife and my two precious little girls, there is another thing helping me stay motivated and in these tough time and that is reading inspiring books.

“They” say to read 10 pages per day for your whole life. Some days I get 10 in and some days I don’t but I try to keep at it every day.

I find the best way to keep at it is to read something inspiring and I get inspired by the weirdest things….right now, given my challenges, I’m most inspired to read non fiction books about building wealth and living the best life you can with what you have.

I’m just about finished this book…

…and after that was is done, I’ll be starting this one….

Reading books like this in addition to my hobbies is how I’ve been able to gather more knowledge that I thought I had.

Wait until you see this list…I hope it makes you think about yourself and your situation. Your company could be through with you tomorrow as well. Would you be able to capitalize on your knowledge and turn things around?
