April – Another new month…what will YOU do with it?

It kind of stings a bit for as a yet another month begins. It stings because having daughters 4 years old and 6 months old means that weather I want them to or not, they’re getting older right before my eyes.

The current crappy job market means a month has ended with no new job. That marks my longest layoff EVER and that makes me sick to my stomach. On the other hand, my wife’s business has just experienced it’s best month to date including it’s largest growth month to date, so that’s cool.

My own home business is plugging along and great progress has been made there as well.

So, back to the question at hand. What will YOU do with this month? If you are one of the unfortunate to have lost their job, will you put out 10 more resumes this month than you did in March? Will start a new business idea that you’ve been kicking around?

I plan to launch 2 more websites, increase traffic and sales to the two I started in March and to finally hear back from at least one of the excellent jobs I applied for last month.

I realize that the last thing is sort of out of my control but with the fancy pants “all electronic” method of accepting peoples job applications that companies are using these day, I figure it opens them up for cold calls from applicants.

I’m not sure they actually realize how utterly nerve racking it is to be sitting at home with mouths to feed and resumes out to some great jobs with no phone calls because nobody has “gotten around to it yet”.

Tell you what, my daughters and my wife and I will be over at 4:59pm every day for supper until you find the time to call your applicants back or at least email to say thanks but no thanks. No salt for me please….I’m trying to cut down…
