2010 Challenge

I decided that 2010 was going to be MY year and that I was finally going to get my internet marketing business off the ground. As I write this (May 2nd, 12:45 am) we’re 4 months into the New Year and things haven’t been stellar to say the least. I’ve made a few hundred $$ in WSO’s but nothing that I could live on.

No matter, there’s lots of year left and I’m forging ahead. I still plan to divide and conquer this year and will do all I can to make that happen.

I have an awesome family and home life so none of my 2010 Challenege pertains to that.

It does pertain to 3 specific areas and they are:

1) Fitness – I go to the gym 3x per week, do extra knee and back exercises as well as cardio at home and I eat clean. I will track and adjust as neccessary.
2) Real Estate Investing – I’ve become interested in Real Estate Investing and am looking to buy high cash flow, high equity properties to create passive income
3) Internet Marketing – I’ve learned a lot over the past 2-3 years and it’s time to do more doing and less learning.

When I was terminated from my job in early 2009, I learned a VERY valuable lesson and that was “have an escape plan and cover your ass”. Weather you love your job or hate it, it could be pulled out from under you at any minute. If you don’t think it could happen to you, you might be closer than you think ;-)

My thinking is that each and every one of us should have non job income and ideally, it should bring in enough money to live on. That way, if you did lose your job, you wouldn’t sweat it for a second as you’d know that the bills were going to get paid.

That is the shortened version of my 2010 Challenege – To create external passive income streams that earn enough per month to cover all of my expenses.

Forge on and do great things!

Mike
